Magic Kingdom Photo Trip Report (4/13/14) Magic Bands, 7 Dwarfs Mine Train Update, Hub Construction

Today's photo trip report takes place at the Magic Kingdom.

Upon entering the Magic Kingdom, you notice these new standees advertising Magic Bands. While walking around, you will notice at least 3 other locations at the Magic Kingdom doing the same.

Magic Bands and accessories have taken over a good portion of this part of the Emporium. Day guests can now purchase a band for $12.95 and link their park ticket to it.

There has been plenty of refurbishment work on Cinderella Castle in the past few months. Taking a look at it today, it looks very good.

The very old Swan Boat dock was recently demolished, where you see the wood chips and sod here.

Water has been put back into the moat, for the time being, while construction continues on other parts of the hub. Cosmic Rays outdoor area was also recently enclosed as seen here.

The hub has construction walls up all around.

Another look at the hub with construction walls hiding what is going on down below.
It's been a few weeks since we last visited, so we will take another gander at 7 Dwarfs Mine Train progress.

Finishing touches and details are being done to the mountain.

While no workers were spotted on this Sunday, you can see scaffolding here.

While we didn't see any trains running, we did spot this train in the back.

The last section of wall that is left up is basically from all across Friars Nook, Many Adventures of Pooh, all the way around to past Dumbo.

Fast Pass + worked well for us on this day. Stand-by on Jungle Cruise was 45 minutes around 4PM, and we walked right in with FP+, scheduled from home.

Although it was a week before Easter, the crowds were not terrible. Crowded, but not insane levels.

We ended our trip with a lap on the People Mover, and here you can see the crowd levels again. Thanks for reading!

  1. Great post. Orlando Billboard Advertising are probably the most cost-effective kind of promotion. They are placed tactically - usually on freeways, but can also be installed off structures - and many individuals cannot help but see them as they generate or move previous.
