Photo Gallery Report on Cabana Bay Beach Resort tower room at Universal Orlando

We recently had a chance to stay at the new Cabana Bay Beach Resort at Universal Orlando. We booked at a special Annual Passholder rate of $99.00. On the weekend we visited, the new towers had just opened, along with a second pool and lazy river. Since we are local, we wanted to take advantage of the what the resort had to offer, so we did not visit the parks.

Here is a look at the tower room:

Here is the view from our pool view room (note it is also a theme park view):

Check-in is at 4PM, but we showed up early to get a jump on the pool, and luckily they had our room ready (around 1PM). We immediately headed for the new pool area and jumped right into the lazy river. The lazy river is small, with cool water, very refreshing. It takes about 5-8 minutes to go all the way around. One thing that stood out to us was that there were plenty of lounge chairs for everyone, even in the middle of the day. The tower area pool has a zero depth entry and is very large. We spent a few hours hanging out in the new pool, then moved over to the courtyard pool.

Here are a few pictures from the tower area pool:

After the pool, we checked out the Bayliner Diner. The diner is centrally located, just a few minute walk from our room. The diner has food stations that serve different types of food. We had a couple good meals here, no issues at all, and enjoyed the area. Please note that many of these pictures were taken after midnight, when much of the resort was closed, and not many people were roaming around.

While we didn't have time to bowl or use the arcade, we did take a look around and photograph some of the amenities.
The Bowling Alley is located off the main lobby on the second floor.

Also on the 2nd floor is an activity room. They have board games, and show movies when the poolside movie can't be shown outside due to weather.

A nice size arcade is located up on the 2nd floor as well.
A look at some other seating areas in the resort, with the retro theme.

Outside, there are some vintage vehicles to pose with, that add to the whole retro vibe.

Lastly we take a look at the resort at night. It's beautifully lit up, and is very appealing to look at.

One drawback is that pools and activities close at either 10PM or 11PM depending on the day.

The tower pool area, like most of the resort, is very quiet at night.

So long Cabana Bay....we will be back soon.
